Title:	Hot Springs-Anaconda Transmission Line Rebuild Project
Description:	<P style="WIDTH: 620px">BPA is proposing to rebuild approximately 120 miles of the Hot Springs-Rattlesnake, Rattlesnake-Garrison, and Garrison-Anaconda 230-kilovolt lines (Hot Springs-Anaconda, collectively) in Sanders, Lake, Missoula, Granite, Powell, and Deer Lodge counties, Montana. <BR></P> <P align=left>BPA has prepared a draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) that describes the project and why it is needed, discusses the environmental impacts the project would create, and lists the mitigation measures that would lessen or eliminate those impacts. The proposed project would include:</P> <P align=left><BR>• Replacement of wood pole structures, cross arms, cross braces, guy wires, anchors, insulator assemblies, switches, and overhead conductor. <BR>• Access road improvement and some new access roads would be acquired or constructed where existing access is not available. <BR>• Overhead ground wire would be added along much of the line and an existing fiber optic cable would be replaced along the entire 150 miles of line.</P> <P align=left>BPA will hold three informal, open-house public meetings to answer questions and accept comments on the draft Environmental Assessment.
