BPA is proposing to fund the Yakama Nation's Mid Columbia-Coho Restoration Program located in Chelan and Okanogan counties, Washington. The goal of the program is to develop a locally adapted stock of naturally spawning coho salmon that can support harvest in most years. To accomplish these goals the modification of existing and construction of new facilities has been proposed. BPA has prepared a draft environmental impact statement that analyzes the Yakama Nation’s proposal. Share your thoughts by submitting a comment. The Yakama Nation has also prepared a Master Plan to guide the development of the reintroduction program: http://www.yakamafish-nsn.gov/Production/production.htm. LoftI think they should set goals to try to accomplish this in as few at 10 years. I think any longer would not be reasonable. http://nabacar.com
