Hooper Springs preliminary environmental assessment

This project is also known as the Caribou-Lower Valley Energy project. BPA is proposing to build a new 138/115-kilovolt substation near Soda Springs, Idaho, and to partially fund construction by Lower Valley Energy of a new 22-mile, double-circuit 115-kV transmission line. BPA is responding to a request from LVE to help improve the stability and reliability of the transmission system in southeastern Idaho. You are invited to comment on the preliminary environmental assessment BPA has prepared on the project, which can be seen at the link below.
